Our
BRAIN HEALTH
is more vital than any
other function of our body. To loose contact with every day reality is a
living death.
Whether you are calculating
multivariate statistics, or
simply trying to stay alert during a conversation or a long meeting -
keeping your mind sharp, matters. Luckily, the steps to protecting your mind
can be very easy and, it is combined with exercising your brain.
First lets examine some of the root causes of memory loss.
Heavy Metal Toxicity is
the level of toxic metals that has been absorbed by the body in numerous
ways (usually depending on the type of metal). The four main toxic metals
are aluminum, lead, cadmium, and mercury. These
metals can cause various complications to your everyday life.
Aluminum is the most
common toxic metal. It is found in almost everyone's body. Whether it is
under your arms with spray anti-perspirants, in your teeth with fillings or
tooth past, or even on your baby's skin from the use of products you trusted
or, even those you suspected, cigarette filters; aluminum is found more than
any other metal. Why? Aluminum is an ingredient in everyday products such
as these mentioned. Even our water supply
contains a hint of aluminum! Physical symptoms of aluminum toxicity may be
brittle bones or osteoporosis, as aluminum is stored in the bones. Kidney
malfunction may also result, as the kidneys filter aluminum. It is
sometimes found excreted in the hair of children diagnosed with ADHD, ADD,
Autism and those with seizures. Hyperactivity, memory disturbances, and
learning disabilities may result from even mildly elevated levels of
aluminum. Science has been linking elevation of aluminum in the body with
Alzheimer's disease for years. Also, there has been research that
shows a link between aluminum hydroxide used in vaccines, and symptoms
associated with Parkinson’s, A-my-o-trophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS, or Lou
Gehrig’s disease), and Alzheimer’s.
Lead is usually absorbed
by the body through contaminated water or by breathing polluted air.
Fumes from lead-based paints, automobile exhaust,
polluted air from industrial plants, and cigarette smoke may all contain
lead. Even some cosmetics contain small amounts. Physical symptoms of
elevated lead in both children and adults can be abdominal pain,
irritability, constipation, and lack of hunger. In more exposed lead
poisoning; a person may experience bone pain, gout, arthritis, anemia,
memory loss, and numbness or tingling in the extremities. Lead toxicity
in children can delay growth, impair motor skill development, and affect
neurotransmission by altering the output and utilization of the brain
chemicals such as dopamine, serotonin, and GABA or (gam·ma-a·mi·no·bu·tyr·ic
acid )
that
control behavior and emotions. Toxicity of this metal can also cause
attention deficit disorder, behavioral disorders, lowered I.Q., poor
hand-eye coordination, and low vocabulary and reading skills.
The highest contributor to cadmium toxicity is
cigarette smoke; it is found in cured tobacco. This is toxic for both the
smoker and the non-smoker. First hand and second hand smoke are high
sources of cadmium. Symptoms of cadmium toxicity are sore joints, decreased
appetite, slow growth, zinc deficiency, and kidney stones. Cadmium can
weaken the immune system and allow bacteria, viruses, yeast, and parasites
to proliferate.
Mercury is a toxic heavy metal, often found in
the tissues of those people with dental amalgams. Other contributors of
mercury are contaminated fish, such as tuna, latex wall paint, and polluted
water. Mercury toxicity may cause decreased attention span, irritability,
and lack of calmness. Learning disorders may result. Memory loss and
fatigue are symptoms often reported by those with mercury toxicity.
This metal can
also cross the placenta of a pregnant woman and the fetus may emerge
contaminated. Common symptoms of mercury poisoning are arthritis and
inflammation, cardiovascular disease, digestive problems, dementia,
and allergies. Psychosomatic, unknown, or mysterious conditions, often
related to allergies may clear up after the mercury amalgams are removed
from the mouth. Though mainstream dentistry does not agree that the
mercury amalgams are causing so many problems, there are some dentists who
believe that the best thing to do is to remove the amalgams.
This must be done
very precisely; by someone who knows and understands this process, because
mercury can slip into the body when the amalgams are being removed. Most
dentists who do this procedure recommend nutritional programs containing
verifiable antioxidant supplements, immune builders, liver detoxifiers, and
bowel cleansers to enhance detoxification of this harmful metal.
The Mad Hatter character in Alice in Wonderland was likely modeled after the
nineteenth-century hat makers who used mercury to stiffen
hat material and
frequently became psychotic from mercury toxicity.
Human exposure to heavy metals has risen
dramatically in the last 50 years as a result of an exponential increase in
the use of heavy metals in industrial processes and products. Once the heavy
metals are liberated into the environment through the air, drinking water,
food, or countless human-made chemicals and products, heavy metals are taken
into the body via inhalation, ingestion, and skin absorption. The FDA would
ban Mother’s breast milk from sale to the public if it were bottled due to
the high levels of heavy metals contained, as a result of exposure and
contamination. In the last 50 years the rate of Autism, Parkinson’s and all
the neurological diseases have exponentially increased along with the heavy
metal contamination.
Suppository EDTA chelation, from the
Anti-Aging Clinic can be seen on our website; livelonger123.com, is the key
to rescuing ourselves, from these neurological disorders.
EDTA absorbed slowly throughout the night,
delivered in our suppository form, binds to the heavy metals in the body and
evacuates them through the waste system.
It is a six-month
program that accomplishes this, in the privacy of your home. Since some of the
good is removed with the bad, it is absolutely curtail that you begin our
immune builder program before during and after the
EDTA chelation.
Prevention is the better
choice: Improving your immune system and ridding the body of heavy metals
with our suppository chelation and with our natural immune building products
like our "Aging Younger" "AGF"
juice, and our
high antioxidant formula supplements
would be the wise choice.
Along with our EDTA
suppository chelation therapy and our
supplements to increase the immune system,
"Exercise is just as healthy for your mind as it is for your body," explains
Christine Blue, an osteopathic psychiatrist specializing in general and
geriatric psychiatry from Lewisburg, West Virginia. "Regular physical
exercise will not only help your cardiovascular health, but it will increase
blood flow to the brain and help with your creativity and memory." Try these
six things:
·
Stay curious and involved
·
Attend lectures and plays
·
Play games
·
Work crosswords or other
puzzles
·
Continue your education
·
Try memory exercises
In
addition, the calming benefits of exercising it will reduce stress, which
can cause memory problems. Physical activity, something as simple as
walking, can also prevent depression, which slows thinking.
Exercise
will clear the mind and allow for creative thinking and a problem-solving
state of mind. For example, studies have shown that after walking for 15
minutes, individuals will increase their memory and ability to multi-task by
more than 15%. Relaxation techniques, such as yoga and meditation, are also
beneficial for the brain.
There are
several different memory techniques and exercises. One technique is called
over-learning. This means that the individual would repeat and study
something more than the topic might normally require. This technique might
be employed when meeting new people. Oftentimes repeating the new name
several times will help with remembering the person's name later.
Another memory technique that helps with remembering short lists of items is
called the link or story method.
Using this method, you would simply make up a story that links together the
different items you want to remember.
Dr. Blue explains that memory exercises can help fight age-related memory
loss such as dementia.
"There has been a growing amount of research indicating mental exercises can
help prevent memory loss associated with dementia."
Dementia is a neurological disorder that affects the ability to think,
speak, reason, remember and move. The most common form of dementia,
Alzheimer's disease, involves a loss of nerve cells in the areas of the
brain that control memory and other mental functions, thought to be
associated with heavy metal poisoning. The first sign of Alzheimer's
disease is usually forgetfulness. As the disease progresses, it affects
language, reasoning and understanding.
The precise cause of Alzheimer's disease is unknown, but risk increases with
age and there are lots of studies pointing to heavy metal toxicity.
Ten percent of the population over the age of 65 has Alzheimer's, and nearly
half of the population over 85 has the disease.
"It is important to make decisions today that will help you later in life,"
explains Dr. Blue. "Keeping both your mind and body active is a great
start." SEE Brain

We utilize our
radio program
as a means to get you to call our Clinic so that we can help you feel
better. Feel better by being healthier; to feel better by decreasing the
size of your body; to feel better by reducing fine lines and wrinkles.
Stephanie and I
have mentioned on each of our programs that you can’t have beauty without
first achieving good health. On that line of thinking, when you eat, your
blood sugar levels start to rise; your body immediately makes insulin. When
we load our body with sugars all of a sudden, the cell stops responding to
insulin.
Blood sugar that stays
too high for too long, is one of the worst things you can do to your entire
body but especially to your brain and eyes.
Too much glucose in the
bloodstream damages the tiny capillaries in your eyes, making them swell and
burst, impairing your vision and often resulting in blindness.
Too much glucose causes
growth of new and unnecessary blood vessels in your eyes. This condition is
called diabetic retinopathy, and it’s one of the leading causes of blindness
in America.
What’s more, people with
blood sugar problems are nearly twice as likely to develop glaucoma and 50%
more likely to develop cataracts.
You know Albert
Einstein said: It is high time that we seriously rethink the way we harm our
children’s minds by rewarding them with sugar.
Each time we eat a meal
containing our food
triggers, blood glucose levels increase. According to the insulin
sensitivity theory, as we age blood glucose levels tend to increase and
insulin becomes less and less effective at bringing the blood sugar down.
Sustained high levels of
sugars in the blood ultimately cause proteins to stick together thereby
damaging the function of the proteins. For example, excess blood sugar is
more likely to react with proteins such as
collagen in the skin, which can lead to
brown splotches or “age spots” as well as loss of elasticity and premature
wrinkling.
As you might well see by
now, when Stephanie and I say, on our “Aging
Younger” radio program, you can’t have beauty without good health
we mean it. Our research of the human physiology as well as our search for
the most helpful supplements and the most effective therapies, insure that
we can help those people who want help.
It is not by accident
that we got into this science; we are baby boomers ourselves and we wanted
to remain as healthy and active as we can for as long as we can; we call it
our good health span.
For decades in our
country, food manufacturers routinely have removed the
Omega-3’s from foods, which were processed out to give it a longer shelf
life and to make it present well in stores.
Unfortunately,
Omega-3’s are necessary for forming healthy cell
walls. Healthy cell walls are formed with Omega-3’s,
Omega-6’s, Omega-9’s, Cholesterol and A-rach-a-donic Acid.
Omega-3’s are long chain fatty acids.
When there is not enough
Omega-3’s present,
the body must continue to manufacture cells; so it must make short chain
“trans” fatty acids to take the place of the long chain
Omega-3’s.
The brain begins this
process by sending signals to the liver to make
HDL and LDL
cholesterol to form the short chain “trans” fatty acid and it
needs one more item to complete the chain-- and that is “Sugar”; sugar is a
major killer in our diet and raising your sugar is not necessarily
accomplished with simple sugars. What makes my sugar rise, is not
necessarily what will make yours rise; so you must have your food triggers
identified through our biofeedback analysis report, to point them out. If
you are out of our area and cannot get to our clinic, tell and we can locate
a place that does this near you.
When the body utilizes
these short chain trans fatty acids to make cell walls, the end result is
un-healthy cells. Cells with damaged cell walls are easily attacked and
penetrated by things like bacteria, virus, heavy metals and un-natural
pathogens. This leads to a disease state such as Autism, Parkinson’s and
Arthritis and the list goes on.
VITAMIN E is found in
all cells, including the cells of the brain. Damage to nerve tissue may
result from a Vitamin E deficiency in the cells. You can eat foods like
almonds, green leafy vegetables and whole grain flour to benefit from the
different forms of this vitamin.
VITAMIN B — Every type
of Vitamin B helps in preserving brain function and sharpness. Early brain
development, declining memory and inability to focus have been linked with
low levels of folic acid and Vitamins B-12 and B-6.
VITAMIN C —
Eating plenty of broccoli, legumes, oranges, potatoes and strawberries will
give you a large dose of this vitamin, which helps keep the brain healthy.
MAGNESIUM —
Approximately 300 milligrams one to three times a day will help protect the
brain from many substances that damage nerve cells.
The
fucoidan in our
"Aging Younger" "AGF" juice
is a natural
chelator that binds with toxins and removes them from the body. I can’t say
enough about our "Aging Younger"
"AGF" juice
product, it contains several antioxidants and nutrients, such as the Acai
berry, the Wolfberry and the Goji berry. These added nutrients of our
"Aging Younger" "AGF" juice
are required for our more comprehensive program and that is our
EDTA suppository chelation.
